Mrs. Spreder

My name is Mary Spreder and I am from Orange County, VA. My family ended up in Jacksonville due to my husband's military orders, and this is where we have decided to plant our roots. We have been married for eight years and have five children, all of which attend Onslow County Schools, aside from our oldest who graduated from White Oak High this past June. I currently have a BS in Human Services focused on Children and Families and a MS in Psychology focused on Child and Adolescent Development. My passion has always been children, and I have since found my way into the classroom. Before moving back to Jacksonville last year, I worked for the schools on the Beaufort Airstation in Beaufort, SC. While there I was a substitute teacher for grades Pre-K-2nd and a Pre-K TA. This is when I found my new passion for working in the schools. After moving back here last summer, I began working as a class TA in the EC department at Morton in the late fall. This is when I realized that this is where I needed and wanted to be.
