Return to Learn Guidebook for Parents
Onslow County Schools has created a Return to Learn Guidebook which explains the procedures, protocols and requirements of staff and students when they return to school. It includes information on health screenings, transportation, masks, and much more. The guide can be viewed here: https://www.onslow.k12.nc.us/Page/36654
Online School Payments
This year, online school payments are available. Parents are highly encouraged to pay school fees through the School Cash Online program. While payments can still be made by cash or check, we strongly recommend parents use this portal to cut down on cash handling in schools and provide an immediate receipt for the funds. There are NO convenience fees or surcharges to use this service. Please register for your account or login here: https://onslow.schoolcashonline.com/
All students K-5 will pay $31.00 for school fees, including a $25.00 device fee.Car Rider Information
Students will need to remain in their vehicle with a parent. We are requesting that students be seated on the right side (passenger side) of the car to assist with the temperature/wellness check that must occur before that student gets out of the car. Staff members will be coming to the cars as you pull up to designated spots to screen students. Please pull your car forward to the next available screener. We ask that you are patient with us as staff handle the new processes and requirements. Keep in mind that students must go directly into the building and to their classroom. Breakfast will be delivered to classrooms every morning. Students must wear their mask and practice social distancing as they enter the school.
If you plan on your child(ren) being a car rider, you will need to complete an updated form to receive your car tags for this year. The file has been attached below if you would like to print it out and complete it now, but they will also be available at the school. Please complete the form and return it to your child's teacher at your earliest convenience.
**Parents will not be able to park and walk their child into school this year.
Visitors
At this time, only essential personnel are allowed into our buildings. If a child is tardy or needs to be checked out early, one parent will be allowed in to complete the check in/check out process. All visitors must wear a mask and have their temperature taken upon arrival. Student check outs or transportation changes will not be allowed after 3 PM.
