Mrs. Theresa Woollard

My name is Theresa Woollard. I have taught early childhood education courses at the University of Mount Olive, kindergarten, and preschool in addition to teaching third grade. I am an Onslow county native, but spent 15 years as a military spouse before my husband retired. We have 3 kids (including twins) and one dog. I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students and having an amazing year!  

Looking for ways to help your student? 

1. Read Nightly:

Whether you are reading to them or they are working to read to you, reading for 20-30 minutes every night will help your student to become a more fluent reader by building confidence and good routines (reading for 20-30 minutes is a nightly expectation in third grade). 

2. Attendance:

It is very important that your third-grader is at school and ready to learn on time. Breakfast is served from 8:05-8:30, and we start learning right at 8:30.

3. Check the Agenda Every Day And Initial It:

Your third grader will be coming home with paperwork/notes/projects/homework/etc. Please make sure you are checking their "take home" folder every night and initialing that you checked it.  Homework will be given daily (Monday-Thursday), and it will be written in your student's agenda.

4. Parent/Teacher Communication:

Please let me know of any changes at home that may affect your child at school.
