Eric Allgrim

My name is Eric Allgrim.  For the 2022- 2023 school year, I will be working at JCE as Lead EC Teacher for my first time.  I have taught in the general separate EC setting here at JCE for the past 6 years, and 10 years in Onslow County. Prior moving to Onslow County in 2012, I worked previously as a teacher for students with autism in Henrico County Virginia, worked as a Teaching Parent at the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls in Richmond, Virginia, and also as a special education teacher at the Cantalician Center for Learning in Buffalo,NY and Falk School alternative school for students with emotional disabilities also in Buffalo, NY.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport in upstate NY, and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Canisius College in Buffalo NY.  I am married to Ms. Dana Quigg, our amazing First Grade teacher here at JCE and we raise two children, a 19-year-old son, and a 15-year-old daughter, both of whom attended school at JCE.   

My goal this year is to lead a tremendous team of talented teachers who have quality working experience working with children with special needs and truly loving what they do.   

Our mission as an EC Team is to provide a safe, supportive, and professional service to address each students' individual needs to promote the achievement of their success to the best of their potential and ability.  

In addition to leading the EC Team here at JCE, I will also be working with 4th and 5th grade students in the resource and inclusion settings.
