Dr. Zadda Bazzy
Dr. Zadda Bazzy spent 19 years in education in Manatee County, Florida, before joining the staff at Queens Creek Elementary in 2017. She has a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Music Education, and a second M.A. in Educational Leadership. While in Florida, she worked as an elementary music teacher for 16 years before transferring to the district’s central office to work as a Curriculum Specialist for the Visual and Performing Arts.
Dr. Bazzy has maintained her certification by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards since 2003. In addition, she completed her Post-Level III certification in the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music education. In 2010, she was recognized with the Provost’s Award for Outstanding Teaching by a Graduate Teaching Assistant when she taught undergraduate music education majors at the University of South Florida. Dr. Bazzy was selected as Teacher of the Year for the School District of Manatee County in 2013 and Teacher of the Year for Onslow County Schools in 2020.
Dr. Bazzy and her husband have a preschool-aged daughter who enjoys reading books, assembling puzzles, building with Legos, and playing in her play kitchen.
