I received my Associates of Arts from Coastal Carolina Community College.  I went on to University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology.  This is my 17th year teaching.

This is my 17th year teaching for Onslow County. I taught kindergarten for 12 years at RPS and Stateside Elementary. This is my 5th year teaching 2nd grade. I am very excited and looking forward to a new year!

Here is a little about me! My favorite places to visit are the beach and mountains. I love sunflowers, the color turquiose and black, sweet tea is a must, and I am your typical boymom. We enjoy watching our boys play baseball, football,  love to fish and hunt.

  • New School Year

Welcome back to a brand new school year 2nd Grade! I am very excited and eager to get back into the classroom and return to what I enjoy, teaching! I hope everyone is well rested up and just as excited to begin this new adventure! Being a new learning process for all of us here and across the country I ask that everyone is patient as we try things to see what will work best for the students in room 601. I am sure there will be many times we will try something and have to go back to the drawing board, have patience as we figure this out together. Orientation will be virtual, but I will try to make things as simple and clear for everyone. I have an updated supply list and class schedule on my webpage so be sure to check them out. You will need to keep some things at home to use during your remote learning. Notebooks will travel to and from school when needed for students to work in and remote learning work will need to be turned in when they return to school.  It is imparative that your child charges his/her laptop every night and it comes to school for classroom instructional days. I am looking forward to this year, teaching your child, taking this situation and making it a positive experience for all.
