Awards Ceremony invitations will go home with those students that will be receiving awards tomorrow. 6^th grade’s ceremony will be held Thursday, June 8^th at 1:00 pm and 7^th grade’s will be held Friday, June 9^th at 1:15 pm. All 8^th Graders will be honored Friday, June 9^th at 10:00 am during the Crossover Ceremony.

End of Grade tests will be administered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday  this week. Please ensure your student gets a good night’s rest and arrives to school on time for testing.

If your child has medication at school, please make arrangements to pick it up on or before the last day of School, which is Friday, June 9th.  Onslow County school policy prohibits storing medications over the summer.  Any medications remaining after June 9^th will be discarded.   Please contact the school nurse with any questions. 

Interim reports went home with students on Friday. Please review these with your child and if there are any questions or concerns, contact your child’s teachers to schedule a conference.

Students will complete the yearly survey provided by Onslow County Schools electronically on Wednesday, May 24th during our enrichment block.  Parents were shared a link with interim reports to complete the parent survey.  The link is also available on the school’s website.  We appreciate and value your feedback as we continue to seek continuous improvement at Dixon Middle School.

Parents, please ensure you are submitting attendance notes when your child is absent. These notes should include the student’s first and last name, the date of and the reason for the absence. Please refer to our student handbook for guidelines on excused absences.
