I am a proud product of the Onslow County School System. I grew up off of Piney Green Road and attended Morton Elementary, Tabernacle, and White Oak High School. After graduating from college at UNCW as a NC Teaching Fellow, I returned home to teach at Swansboro High School in 1994. While at Swansboro for 23 years I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Tech Math, PreAlgebra, Math I, Math III, Math Ready, and AP Statistics. At OECHS, I have taught Math 2, Math 3, Precalculus, and AP Statistics. I recently earned my AIG licensure and look forward to implementing strategies.
This year I am working in a new role. My new title is Student Support Services/Lead Teacher. My main focus is ensuring Juniors and Seniors are successful in and attending their college courses.
On a personal note, I have been married for 27 years and have two children. My son graduated from NC State with a degree in Computer Science. My daughter graduated from UNC Chapel Hill studying Public Relations and Political Science with a minor in Spanish.
