  • OECHS Graduation Ceremony @ WOHS Stadium May 14th @ 7:00 pm

We will have OECHS Graduation practice at the WOHS football stadium at 3:30pm on Thursday, May 13th. Please make plans to attend so we can be prepared for a smooth ceremony.

Dr. Barnes at White Oak High School is graciously allowing our seniors to hold their high school graduation ceremony at the WOHS football stadium on the evening of May 14th! Per state and county guidance and regulations, there will be limited capacity at all graduation ceremonies.

All OCS high school graduation ceremonies are capped at no more than five tickets per graduate at this time.

There will be a professional photographer on-hand to take photos of all graduates as they receive their diplomas. We will provide digital copies to our graduates, free of charge.

Other safety requirements for OCS graduation ceremonies can be accessed by clicking the link below!

  • Group Senior Photo at Graduation

We have postponed our senior group photo until our high school graduation ceremony. With seniors having virtual and seated classes at different times, it is impossible to get all seniors in one place at one time....except at graduation! As we finalize the program and order of ceremony this week, we will add time to get one group shot of all our seniors!

"I wish they would have taught me about ___________ before I graduated from high school"

Did you ever wish you learned a tip, trick, life hack, or skill before you went off on your own? Well, we still have time to help our our Class of 2021 Owls before they leave OECHS, but we need your help! As they are almost finished with the college application process and are continuing to apply for scholarships, the focus of weekly seminar will begin to include some of those critical life skills that kids need to know before leaving home. The topics will range from jump-starting a car, washing clothes, proper place settings, and building good credit to name a few.

I need your help! Please email ( with some tips, skills, life hacks, and knowledge for our graduating seniors. Please also include some resources that we can use in class as well. This is our chance to really prepare our kids for the journey ahead! Thank you for your help!

  • Class Rings

    school ring

Ring order information from Jostens was sent home via The Owl back in early March. Mr. Overby (Jostens representative) also met with any students at lunch (in early March) that wanted more information. Unfortunately, everyone had the stay-at-home order from the Governor before we could accept paper order forms. Those that ordered online were still able to order class rings.

Jostens has opened their link to our school's ordering site, so students can order class rings again. Click here to order! Hopefully, Mr. Overby will be able to make an in-person visit later in the school year. In the meantime, the Jostens office is open for business 9:00-4:00 (Monday through Friday) to answer questions that kids and families may have. Their office number is 910-675-3886.

You can go to our school's class ring store site below and order online. It takes approximately 6-8 weeks for the ring to be shipped to your house. Remember, this is optional, but we wanted to make it possible for students that would like to have a class ring!

  • School Cash Online

    • SchoolCashOnline Family

Given the ongoing concerns over COVID-19, OCS continues to look for ways to improve convenience for our families and institute practices which will reduce the risk of transmission of the virus. To do this, the district will be providing our school community the option of a new online payment system, School Cash Online. This system will minimize cash and check payments at our schools and allow parents to make online payments from home.

Through School Cash Online, parents can pay registration fees, course fees, field trips, yearbooks, spirit wear, athletic fees and more!

Parents who use School Cash Online have the ability to:

      • Keep track of their child's school items and activity fees.
      • Stay connected by receiving email notifications of new fees.
      • Check their account history.
      • View and print receipts.
      • Pay for school fees any time, anywhere, with a simple click.
      • Easily link and access all students in a household.
      • Make payments using Visa or Mastercard.

Click here School Cash Online to pay your child's fees online!

The School Cash Online service will not replace the current system we have in place to prepay for your student's meal accounts. Pre-Payment for student meal accounts can be made here (link opens in a new window): Student Meal Account Pre-Payment Options
