Mrs. Lynda Ross

🤚🏼 Hello!  I am Mrs. Lynda Ross and I am so excited to be a 3rd grade teacher at Clear View Elementary ️🐻 this year!  This will be my 28^th year as a classroom teacher! ❤️ I was born and raised in Denville, NJ.   I am the oldest of 3 girls.  I decided early in my elementary school years that I wanted to be a teacher 👩‍🏫.  So, I got my bachelor’s degree in Elementary & Early Childhood Education from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. 🎓 Right after college, 27 years ago,  I got my very first teaching job right here in Onslow County at Silverdale Elementary!  I was only there for one school year in 1995-1996, and then I returned to Pennsylvania to get my Master’s degree in Reading 📚, get married 👰, and start a family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧. I continued to teach 2nd and 3rd grades for the next 21 years at Hanover Street Elementary School in Hanover, PA. 🧡🖤(Hanover is the home to Utz potato chips & Snyder’s Pretzels 🥨.)  

Three summers ago, my family moved to Richlands, NC,  and I returned to teaching 3^rd grade at Silverdale Elementary School.  Mr. Ross is also a teacher 👨‍🏫.  He teaches and coaches at North Duplin Jr/Sr High School.  My older daughter, Lizzy 👧,  is 17 years old and is excited to start her senior year 😼at Richlands High School this Fall. Lizzy is a basketball 🏀 player, and a soccer ⚽🥅 goalie who has her heart set on being a Marine Biologist 🐟.  My younger daughter, Emily 👧, is 13 years old and is excited to be in 7th grade at Trexler Middle School this coming year.  Emily plays softball 🥎 and basketball 🏀 and has her heart set on being a Reading Teacher 📗.  We also have a dog 🐶 named Peanut. 

I LOVE the beach ☀️ and spending time outside.  I like to read 📘, and I am always learning more about teaching and education.  After school, I am a busy sports-mom 🚗.
