Welcome to our classroom page!

I am incredibly excited to be a part of your fourth-grade journey! This will be my third year as a part of the fourth-grade team at Southwest Elementary. I have previously taught in third grade, in Virginia. Although this will be my fourth year teaching, I am still as passionate about teaching as I was on my first day. I love what I do!

During my undergrad at Le Moyne College, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Elementary Education and Special Education. This year I have completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on leadership. The next step is conquering my National Boards Certification!

A big part of my life is my family. I am originally from upstate New York (not the city) and have to admit that I do miss the Fall season. But North Carolina stole my heart with its breathtaking beaches. My husband and I have two puppers, Xena and Zara. Our dogs are spoiled with cuddles and whip cream! Although they are our fur babies, they are a crucial part of our family. In our free time, we love to explore different countries. My favorite place would have to be Florence, Italy and Zakynthos, Greece. Our next trip will hopefully be to Spain or Germany!
