Ms. Becky Tyson
I am a native of North Carolina. I grew up in the Piedmont and have lived on the east coast of North Carolina for 30 years. I have been an educator for 25 years. I have three children and 2 wonderful grandchildren, Silvia and Christopher. I also have a black lab named Porter.
I love traveling, writing, reading, and shopping. I have traveled to Europe, Japan, South Africa, and around the country. I recently traveled to Amarillo, Texas and experienced the culture and beautiful landscapes of this unique part of the U.S. I enjoy writing about my personal experiences. My favorite picture books are Chrysantheum by Kevin Henkes and The Giving Tree by Shel-Silverstein.
I have taught second grade, first grade, and the computer lab K- 5 . I enjoy challenging students to achieve their highest potential. I know all students can learn, will learn, not at the same rate, or level, but at their stage of physical, social, and intellectual development. I love teaching! It is my passion to be the BEST teacher I can be.
I enjoy teaching at Carolina Forest International Elementary and working with caring, professional colleagues.
