The Operations & Facilities division provides leadership and guidance to departments, which include Maintenance, Transportation, School Nutrition, Safety & Security, and the Print Shop. Our department currently has two full-time employees but several architectural firms, engineering firms and/or other consultants who report directly to our Chief Operations Officer on various projects.

The Chief Operating Officer serves as a member of the Executive Staff and provides close input to the Superintendent on matters pertaining to support functions within the school system. In addition, this position works very closely with local governments in addressing land use issues as well as emergency response and recovery efforts. The CO consistently communicates with local developers on school expansion and development issues all while developing essential professional relationships.

Our Operations administration is primarily responsible for long-range capital planning within the school system. We are charged with processing system insurance policies, examining, and presenting redistricting options, and completing the annual Capital Outlay Budget.
