Head Start families are supported and encouraged to succeed by developing, working toward and achieving their goals. Family Specialists assist and support families by providing information about community resources, child and family development, and providing opportunities for participation in various workshops and parent committees that promote independence, growth in knowledge, and confidence; thus empowering families to become their own advocate.
