• Tri-M (Modern Music Masters) is an internationally-recongized music honor society.  In order to be eligible for Tri-M at Swansboro Middle School, students must

    • Currently have an A in their music course,
    • Currently have at least a B average overall, with a minimum grade of C,
    • Not have ISS or OSS during the current academic year, and
    • Be selected by application, including two teacher recommendations.

    Tri-M members are required to come to at least 70% of scheduled after-school meetings and complete 10 hours of community service each year.  8th grade Tri-M students perform as soloists or in a small ensemble during our annual recital.
