Operations Administration

  • Operations Administration provides leadership and managerial guidance to departments within Operations & Facilities which include; Maintenance, Transportation, School Nutrition, Safety & Security, and Print Shop.  The department currently has two full-time employees, but a number of architectural firms, engineering firms, or other consultants report directly to the Assistant Superintendent on various projects.

    The Assistant Superintendent (Chief Operating Officer) serves as a member of the Executive Staff and provides input to the Superintendent on matters pertaining to support functions within the school system.  In addition, this position works closely with local units of government in addressing land use issues, as well as emergency response and recovery efforts.  This position also works with local developers on issues relative to school expansion and development.

    Operations Administration is the department primarily responsible for long range capital planning within the school system. This department is also charged with processing system insurance policies, examining and presenting redistricting options, and completing the annual Capital Outlay Budget.
