    Daughters of the American Revolution

    Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship (Female majoring in Education)

    The Upsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, ETA State, embraces the guiding principle to advance the professional interest and position of women in education by awarding one $750.00 scholarship to an Onslow County or Camp Lejeune female high school senior that has been accepted to a college or university of choice and aspires to enter the field of education. Scholarship applications are due April 11.

    National Dairy Shrine Scholarships (Agricultural Major)

    $3,000 will be granted to 42 recipients.

    Edibility Requirements: All National Dairy Shrine Scholarships and student awards are only for U.S. students attending schools, colleges universities in the United States and majoring in Dairy industry or other agricultural related fields.

    The Riley Fletcher Scholarship for the Arts (Arts Majors)

    Created in memory of Riley Fletcher.  Riley attended Swansboro High School and was active in the arts, especially interested in singing, drawing, and poetry. The Riley Fletcher Arts Scholarship was formed to create an opportunity to raise awareness and prevent suicide.

    A $1,200 scholarship will be presented to an Onslow County graduating high school senior who exemplifies outstanding qualities in the arts, leadership, and character. The scholarship award may be used to further the students’ college education in the field of the arts.

    The winning student will be selected by the Board of Directors of the Riley Fletcher Scholarship of the Arts.

    Down syndrome Network of Onslow and Carteret Counties (Volunteer Hours Required)

     Graduating seniors in Onslow or Carteret Counties (including Camp LeJeune) with a minimum of ten documented hours volunteering in the special needs community by April 15th are eligible to apply.

     All students receiving a scholarship are required to volunteer 5 hours with the DSNOCC organization within twelve months of the awarding of scholarship funds.

    This scholarship is being held by Michael H Schwartz, a law firm based in White Plains NY. He understands the importance of furthering your education and decided to give back.
