  • What can my Cheerleader expect at a practice?

    Posted by:

All cheerleaders are required to be adequately dressed and prepared for practice promptly at 3:30

Hair needs to be out of the eyes and secured in a ponytail

Absolutely no gum or eating during practice

NO JEWELRY- no rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, face piercings- they must be removed prior to practice and games

NO SITTING- You will not be allowed to sit during practices unless directed by me.  If you are not participating in a stunt or pyramid, you are required to spot.

NO Side conversations- This is for safety and comprehension of instruction.

Conditioning- all cheerleaders will be required to participate in conditioning.  This will warm the muscles and prepare them for the practice and prevent the stress of practice from hurting the girls.  If they can't put in the work, they can't perform.

All practices are closed.  This means that no one else is in the gym while the girls are practicing, including parents, brothers and sisters, or rides.

  • What if my cheerleader misses a practice?

    Posted by:

That depends.  If I am made aware of the absence beforehand or if your cheerleader is out sick the day before a game, they will be unable to participate in that game.  If your cheerleader has missed school but comes to the game, she will be required to be in uniform and sit with her squad (but not perform).

If your cheerleader has to miss practice for any reason, the parent is required to notify the coach at least an hour before practice begins.  When a cheerleader is absent this effects the ENTIRE squad's practice.  We can not stunt or set our formations properly if someone is absent.  Please be mindful of your commitment and be at every practice.

  • When are the fees due?

    Posted by:

Fees are due by June 30th.  If you need more time please contact me directly.

We will be fundraising for new uniforms so those fees are separate and will be discussed at our first Squad Meeting.

  • Where do we pay the fees?

    Posted by:

Checks or cash can be payable to the school directly. Please make sure you indicate 'CHEER' on your check.  We will fundraise for new uniforms so all Cheerleaders are required to be present at the fundraisers and will get financial credit put towards their overall balance for uniforms.  The money donated is split evenly among the cheerleaders. I will have a count of what we have raised so that you will know what your final balance is in the event we do not raise our goal.  Anything that we make that is left over goes directly to the cheerfund for any extras we may accrue.  This works out so that we are not asking our parents to contribute more than what we originally asked.

  • How do I know what size my cheerleader will wear?

    Posted by:

The company we are purchasing from is sending sample sizes of everything we need.  I would love it our moms would join us in trying on these clothes so that I can get accurate sizes for each girl.  I will let you know when they come in and I will schedule a day for just this reason.

  • How do I take care of the uniform?

    Posted by:

Wash each uniform in regular detergent and lay flat or hang to dry.  This should be washed after each game. (this includes shorts, bra and warm up)

  • How much are uniforms?

    Posted by:

We will fundraise to buy our new uniforms and they will belong to the school for future use.

The actual shell and skirt that will be used prior to receiving our new uniforms, belong to the school and are of no charge to you. (unless it is lost or damaged at which time you will be responsible for the replacement)

Please refer to the insert of the Cheer Manual.

  • When are practices?

    Posted by:

Practices will vary so please keep up with the calendar on this website for changes.

Typically, practice will be Mon, Wed and Thurs from 3:30-5 contingent on the game schedule/meetings/conferences.

In the event that I am forced to cancel practice, the office will make an announcement and the girls will call home before the end of the school day to let you know.  I will also notify you on the remind app.  On occasion this happens last minute and is ultimately out of my control.  This has occurred twice in the last three years. Please understand and be flexible.

Please pick up your cheerleader on time.  Failure to do so, could result in your Cheerleader being dismissed from the squad.
