• Mrs. Kim Collins

    I was born and raised in Onslow County.  I graduated from Jacksonville Senior High (Fighting Cardinals) and met my best friend, John Paul, who was at my rival school, White Oak High.  Even though we sat on different sides at the football games, we've been married for 35 years!  We have 2 wonderful children, Jeremy and Megan, and 1 daughter-in-love, Jaime.  I have 2 dogs, Mater and Foxy, and 4 grand dogs, Nellie, Roe, Darla, and Roxy. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and being involved with my church.

    I started as a substitute teacher and volunteered for 3 years, then a bus driver for 21 years, and a full time Instructional Assistant at Silverdale for 21 years.  I've had the privilege to work with great teachers and students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

    Presently, I'm assisting Miss Fish and Mrs. Shelton in 1st grade and Mrs. Akins and Mrs. Hood in 2nd grade, as well as wherever else I am needed.
