Tryouts: Tryouts will be held on Tuesday August 1st at 7:00 am. We will first meet down by the track at 6:30 am to make sure that everyone has all of their paperwork turned in. Once we have the paperwork squared away, we will get started with our warmup. For tryouts we will be running the 5k cross country course around the high school. Tryouts will be used to determine a starting point for everyone’s fitness level. We would like to see the boys complete the course in under 27 mins and for the girls to complete the course in under 30 mins. The listed times are not required to make the team. However, we may choose not to enter athletes in the earlier races if it seems that they are behind in their running. Running unconditioned athletes too much in the beginning often leads to injuries.
