• Create or select a graphic organizer and come up with a title or focusing question that will help students understand what they are expected to learn.
• Prepare students for the learning to come by walking them through the organizer.
• Present the content one chunk at a time and help students know where to record key informtation.
• Have the students summarize what they learned using their completed organizers as a guide.
