Moving to Onslow County Schools? Please find below a step-by-step guide to enrolling your student at Richland’s High School
First Step: Find Your School: Use the link below to make sure that you are in RHS’s district.
http://timssql670a.onslow.k12.nc.us/liveweb/webquery/
Second Step: Come by The School: Stop by the school and pick up your enrollment packet (this includes a records release form to be sent to your student’s previous school. We will need this to request records from your student’s previous school and this will assist us in choosing classes for your student that will mirror his/her previous classes as closely as possible, if you are moving within the school year. If you are coming to RHS at the start of a new school year, this information will help us make sure that your student is on track to meet Onslow County Schools High School Graduation Requirements.
Please note: While we will need official documents to fully enroll and choose classes for your student, please always ask for a copy of your child’s transcript before you leave your current duty station and hand-carry it with you during your move. Your unofficial copy will speed up the process of assigning your student classes.
Third Step: Return to School: Return the completed paperwork to the Registrar. Please make sure you have your id, proof of address (a current water or power bill-NOT OVERDUE or DELINQUENT dated within last 30 days) and all other documents filled out completely. Please also provide us with any legal documentation you have in your possession (custody papers, court orders etc.). Notary services are available on campus during regular school hours.
Fourth Step: Make an appointment: Set up a time to meet with your student’s counselor to discuss class choices, class availability and graduation requirements.
On your student’s first day, a member of Richland High School’s Student to Student club (S2S) will meet him/her in the guidance office for a school tour, questions about the school and its processes, and as a point-of-contact for future questions.
