Onslow County Food Banks
Food banks provide support to low income families in the Onslow County region of North Carolina. The distribution centers, most of which are run by non-profit organizations, have volunteers that partner with clients. Everything from a bag of groceries to a box of food is offered from a pantry, while many offer other assistance as well.
The Jacksonville area food pantries are involved in the administration of many other resources for working poor families. There is also a special focus on military personnel and veterans in the region. Some of the other services may be free Thanksgiving and Christmas meals at the holidays as well as clothing. On rare occasions, some of the charities even coordinate financial aid or applications to benefits such as SNAP food stamps. Call a center below for hours.
