OCS Summer Learning Program
Remote Summer Learning Resources are Now Available (See below for additional information)
The Onslow County Schools Summer Learning Program is designed to provide eligible students who were in kindergarten through 4th grade during the 2019-20 school year with a "Jump Start" on the 2020-21 school year. This program will also allow students to review skills and content which may have been missed during the 2019-20 school year due to extended school closures for COVID-19. The Summer Learning Program will include a face-to-face option for selected grades and students, as well as a remote learning option as outlined below.
- Face-to-Face - (Registration is now closed) This option will be available to parents of eligible students in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades during the 2019-20 school year who meet eligibility criteria established by the NC General Assembly, the NC State Board of Education, and the NC Department of Public Instruction. Parents/guardians of eligible students will receive an invitation from their child’s school. Please refer to your invitation letter or email for preliminary program hours and registration information. The face-to-face option is contingent on future guidance from the NC Department of Health and Human Services, NC Department of Public Instruction, and/or Executive Orders from the Governor. If face-to-face instruction is not possible, parents will be notified and will have access to the remote learning resources. This page will be updated throughout the summer to include specific protocols for student/staff safety, visitor policies, student drop-off/pick up, etc.
Based on current guidance, face-to-face sessions for the OCS Summer Learning Program will proceed as scheduled. If you registered and have not received an official confirmation from the school by Monday, July 13, please contact the school to verify enrollment in the face-to-face session
