The wall was installed Aug. 13 on the Mexican side of Friendship Park. The original idea was to drive the 3-ton slab of concrete to the Washington and present it to President Donald Trump, but the White House rejected the donation.

Centers for Disease Control studies increased asthma-related ER visits by 17% nationwide during 19 of the smokiest days. On the worst air quality day in New York state, those visits spiked 82%.
