Ms. Burnette

Hello everyone,  My name is Niquita Burnette. I worked at White Oak from 2017-2021.  I transferred to Southwest in 2021.  It was a wonderful  experience working there but, when the opportunity 

Just to give you a little information about myself.  I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC.  I graduated from White Oak in 2003.  I am blessed to be able to go to college and graduate from North Carolina Central University in 2007.  I got my Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences specialized in Child Development and Family Relations.  I returned to school and got another Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences specialized in Birth- Kindergarten, in 2016.

I have been working with children for 16 years.  I started working in early childhood education in 2007.  I was a NCPK teacher for many years.  I worked as an EC Pre-K teacher and later became an EC TA before I started working at Southwest.  I have always enjoyed working with children and it is my passion.

I plan on having a great year with my new students learning new information.  I hope my students will take the information they learn in my class and apply it to their lives.  I believe it takes a village to raise a child.  I want to thank you for letting me be apart of your village.
