Ms. Allyson Gallagher

Hello friends!!! I was born and raised in Jacksonville and I'm a product of Onslow County Schools. I graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1993. It is my privilege to be your teacher this year and an honor for me to be able to give back to my local community.  My journey as an educator began as a teacher’s assistant in Onslow County, while attending UNCW and earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2003. I have always wanted to be a teacher and come from a family of educators. This is my 19th year teaching in Onslow County Schools, and I love it! I have taught at Dixon Elementary for the last 18 years and this will be my first year at Carolina Forest International Elementary. I am excited to join the "Eagles" family as a third-grade teacher.  I have taught Kindergarten, first and second grades, so I am looking forward to new changes and new beginnings. This November, my fiancé´ Sam and I are getting married on the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.  I am thrilled to finally put a stamp onto my passport!  I have a son, Jacob, who is in 11th grade and will be attending Jacksonville High School.  He keeps me busy along with our Labrador Mira and Terrier Tyson. I will be gaining a "bonus" son and daughter, Addison and Solomon and couldn't be happier! I always wanted a big family, so my heart is full!!! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, relaxing on the beach, visiting the mountains, crafting, watching Hallmark movies, drinking coffee (hot or iced), and going on walks with my dogs. I look forward to our school year together!
