Hello there ! Welcome to Southwest High School and Ms. Jaye's Enterprises, where we focus on Business Administration, Entrepreneurship , Marketing and Accounting.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself . My name is Ms. Jamica Simmons, but I prefer to go by Ms. Jaye or Coach Jaye. 

This is my 2nd year as a partner in education at Southwest High school. I am a graduate of White Oak High School and I hold a MBA with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Strayer University and  currently receiving my teaching licensure from NC State University.  I am also the head JV and Varsity Lady Basketball Coach for White Oak High School. 

A little more background about myself is that I am truly BLESSED to be a mother of 2 amazing kids. My daughter is currently a junior at Southwest High School and my son is a 4th grader at Blue Creek Elementary. I find myself to be understanding but firm. I stand firm on doing unto others as you would want them to do unto you. As a  teacher and former basketball player, I believe in building foundations and teamwork to be successful in business. My hobbies are cooking , baking , shopping and being a sports mom. Last but not least, family time and church are strongly valued. That's just a little about myself. 

I am looking forward to a successful 2022-2023 school year.  All that I ask of our students is that they give a 110% and I will do my very best to help them be successful and be the best version of themselves.
