Miss Fisher

My name is Jamie Fisher and I am the 3rd-5th grade General Separate teacher at Southwest Elementary! Last August I moved to Jacksonville from Toms River, New Jersey with my now fiancé, Corey. We also have a labradoodle named Cali and a puggle named Pax. Although I am a lifelong “Jersey Girl,” I am loving North Carolina! In my free time I enjoy heading to the beach, hiking, and cooking.

I received my degree from Georgian Court University in New Jersey. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English with an Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-6 Certificate and a Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate. This will be my 7th year of teaching! I am positive that lucky number 7 will be a fantastic year. Previously I’ve taught 4th grade for 5 years and last year I was a 4th & 5th Resource teacher in Onslow County. I always aim to make my classroom a second home for students. Students learn best when they feel safe and comfortable in their environment. I am so excited to see how much success this year brings!
