• Your grade will be determined mainly by:

    Drawings, homework, quizzes, tests, and a possible final exams. If assignments are not completed, they will be counted as a zero or as directed by the grading policy.

    There will be a daily work grade given. This grade will be averaged in with your other grades and counted as a quiz or test grade.

    Your six weeks average will be determined:

    1st Six Weeks

    • Informal Assessments / Classwork / Homework - 60%

    • Projects - 20%

    • Formal Assessments / Test - 20%

     

    2nd Six Weeks

    • Informal Assessments / Classwork / Homework - 40%

    • Formal Assessments / Test / Projects - 60%

     

    3rd Six Weeks

    • Informal Assessments / Classwork / Homework - 40%

    • Formal Assessments / Test / Projects - 60%

    The state of North Carolina expects all students to score at a proficient level on the final exams. Students may also have an opportunity to obtain a credential for the class that may possibly be counted in lieu of the final exam. Information will be provided in class regarding this opportunity.

     

    Grading Scale:

    A = 90 – 100

    B = 80 – 89

    C = 70 – 79

    D = 60 – 69

    F = 0 - 59
