Ms. Quander

My name is Emma Quander. I am the dual language immersion assistant teacher. I have lived in Jacksonville, NC for a few years now. I am originally from Wahington DC, and my mother is from Bogota Colombia. I got my bachelor's in fine arts at Maryland Institute College of Art. I am currently a student at University of North Carolina Charlotte getting my teaching license in art education. I have worked as an elementary assistant teacher for 3 years now. It is such a pleasure to be working in DLI program at Carolina Forest Elementary School. It is going to be great school year. Go Eagles! ¡Vamos Aguilas! 

I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, and playing with my puppy. I spend a lot of my free time painting, listening to music, cooking, and reading. I love to travel and learn about new cultures.
