Mrs. Lisa Ingram

I was born and raised in New Jersey. I grew up in a small town with two older brothers and graduated from Maple Shade High School. I first came to North Carolina to attend Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, North Carolina (this is just outside of Asheville).The school focuses on a triad of academics, work, and service. I enjoyed earning my degree in education in such a unique and enriching atmosphere.  I moved to Jacksonville in 1997.

This year will be my 25th at Southwest Elementary. My teaching career started here when I completed my teaching internship in fourth grade. I have taught fifth grade as well as fourth grade. Working in the Southwest community has been a very rewarding experience. I don't think there is a better school anywhere else!

My husband and I live with our two dogs and two very active and inquisitive cats.  I am a huge animal lover and cannot imagine a home without pets. In my free time, I love to read. I like all kinds of books and am very happy to spend time curled up in a chair reading. Cooking is also a favorite pastime of mine, especially baking.  I enjoy trying out new recipes and foods I've never experienced before. I also love sports! I enjoy watching a variety of sports and cheering on my favorite teams and athletes.
