Welcome to my teacher page!
I am a native of Onslow County. My passion is teaching! I strive daily to be the best that I can be and live life to the fullest. As for the students that I teach, I want to be an inspiration and provide them with effective, meaningful instruction, so that they may become independent lifelong learners. I set high expectations for all students and ask that my students give me their very best effort each and every day. In my spare time, I love to read, work in my flower garden, and spend time with my family, as well as attend my church.
Educational Experience/Degrees:
My educational career has centered on working with students in our county at a variety of grade levels that range from kindergarten, first, second, third and fifth. The majority of my teaching career has focused on third grade.
It is important to teach each individual child and his/her educational needs by implementing strategies to help the child achieve his/her highest potential. It is of the upmost importance to recognize the uniqueness of each individual child, identify his/her strengths in order to provide a challenge, while also nurturing any academic area(s) of concern. Today’s society offers a diverse population. As teachers, we must recognize multicultural differences in order to encourage the child to achieve his/her highest potential.
