BS in Child & Family Studies: Early Childhood Administration and Leadership, with a concentration in Human and Cognitive Development

Ms. Whidden

I very recently moved to Jacksonville in July of 2016 from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I am a huge LSU Tigers fan.  I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2014 with a BS in Child & Family Studies: Early Childhood Administration and Leadership, with a concentration in Human and Cognitive Development

During my time in Louisiana I worked closely with children in a variety of settings.  A few of my favorite externships included physical therapy for Exceptional Children on horseback, working with children who are living in hospitals, whether it was tutoring, counseling or creating a sense of normalcy and increasing their quality of life, and working with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).  I worked with Sullivan's Steakhouse for four years as the administrative assistant and head of Human resources for our Baton Rouge site. I hope to bring real life experience to my class pulling from a multitude of resources I have collected throughout my years.

Currently I am teaching Food and Nutrition 1, as well as Personal Finance.  I am the director of the Career Center Academy as well as head adisor for FCCLA and the director of the Fall Play.
