Mrs. Julie Barnes and Miss Colleen Larkin are the Assistant Directors of Exceptional Children Services for Onslow County Schools. They work alongside the director, Mrs. Misty Williams to provide services for students with disabilities in Onslow County. Mrs. Barnes and Miss Larkin work collaboratively with a highly qualified staff, school leaders, teachers, service providers, community partners, and parents to provide identified students with specially designed research based instruction.

 

If you have questions and/or concerns regarding your child’s special education services, please use the steps below to help ensure they are addressed in the most effective and efficient way possible.

  1. ADDRESS AT THE CLASSROOM LEVEL. First- talk to your child’s teacher about your concerns.
  2. ADDRESS AT THE SCHOOL LEVEL. Second- talk to the Principal at your child’s school about your concerns.
  3. ADDRESS AT THE LEA LEVEL. If you still have concerns, contact the Exceptional Children Support Staff of Onslow County Schools.
