Update Preschool Application

The Update/Re-Apply Application Process is for any family who has submitted an application for Onslow County Preschool, for any child in their family in the past.  Our data management system maintains records for previous years, so your family's information will still be on file.

If you are unsure, you may contact our office at 910-455-5530 to find out if a past application is on file. 

 

In order for your child to be considered for preschool services, the parent/family must complete the following process to submit an application.

Steps for Re-Applying or Updating a Preschool Application

  1. Contact our office to schedule an appointment (face to face or by phone). 910-455-5530
  2. Gather all of the required documents listed below prior to your scheduled appointment.

    1. Certified copy of child's birth certificate (If applying for new child)

    2. Parent/Guardian Proof of Identify: State ID, Driver’s license, or Military ID (If ID has been updated)

    3. Proof of address (current electric or water bill), only one (1) is needed.

    4. Proof of income for the last 12 months for all members in the household. Include all that apply to your household.

      • Most Current (1040) Income Tax and last current paystub(s)/LES for current month and previous year

      • WFFA/TANF/SNAP documentation

      • 12 months of Child Support computerized printout for all children in the home

      • SSI, SSDI or SSA benefits

      • Retirement Benefits or Veteran's Benefits

      • Alimony, Unemployment or Disability

      • All income information must be current.

    5. Additional Documents if applicable:

      • Foster Care/Kinship Care Documentation

      • Legal Guardian/Custody Papers

      • Parent School Schedule

      • Disabilities, IEP or IFSP Documents

  3. Save the documents in a digital format on the device you will use to submit to the application office. Documents should be saved as PDF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, DOC, or DOCX.  Your Case Manager can assist you with saving documents during your appointment if needed.  (Step 3 is only if you are submitting documentation electronically)

  4. After your scheduled appointment, program staff will email you a link to use in uploading all of the above documents securely and then submitting to our application office.
