Onslow County Community Resources

Many people in our community are in need of a helping hand, and OCS wishes to help our families find the resources they need.  

Below, you can find links to resources from our community partners at United Way of Onslow County and Onslow Community Outreach. You can also find a food pantry and distribution calendar created by Operation Kindness of Onslow County. 

UNITED WAY OF ONSLOW COUNTY

United Way helps connect those in need with local resources through the 2-1-1 community service information line. This service is available 24/7 and can connect families with housing, food, and other essential resources.

United Way of Onslow County also operates the C.H.E.W. (Children Healthy Eating on Weekends) Program. This program provides school-age children dealing with food insecurity with backpacks of food for the weekend each week.  

If your family is experiencing food insecurity, please speak with your school social worker about getting the help you need.  

ONSLOW COMMUNITY OUTREACH 

Onslow Community Outreach operates a number of programs to help those in need in Onslow County. These programs include the soup kitchen, Christmas Cheer, and free medical and dental clinics.  

If your family is in need help this holiday season, you may be eligible for assistance with food and gifts from Christmas Cheer. See the schedule below to learn about how and when you can apply for Christmas Cheer assistance:
