UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN CELEBRATION

The United Way Campaign Celebration for 2024-2025 was held Thursday, March 20, and it was a special event that recognized the contributions of our local community, businesses, government agencies, non-profits, and individuals who have generously supported United Way of Onslow County.

One of the most exciting moments of the luncheon was the reverse raffle for a car, generously donated by Marine Chevrolet. Anyone who donated $104 or more to the United Way would be eligible for selection. Onslow County Schools had 17 donors selected for the final raffle, and Jessica Wells from the Community Affairs Department was the lucky winner!

Congratulations to Jessica, and a heartfelt thank you to all of our employees who contribute to the amazing work United Way does in our community!

ALL-COUNTY ART SYMPOSIUM

All-County Art 2025 was a great day for our high school art students!

On Saturday, March 1, advanced art students from each of our high schools spent the day working with each other and exploring new artistic mediums at different stations throughout the day. This year's workshops included wood and glass jewelry creation, cyanotype printing and development, still-life painting, and the annual tradition of silk-screening their own t-shirts!

Thank you to our art teachers and Dr. Lisa Peele for providing this opportunity for our students!

PARENT ACADEMY

Join us in person or online Tuesday, March 25, at 5:30 p.m. for a Parent Academy session about military families and college funding!

OCS IS HIRING!

Join us Wednesday, April 9 for a virtual meeting all about career opportunities at Onslow County Schools.

At 1 p.m., you can learn about the positions available in school nutrition, transportation, maintenance, and instructional support. At 2 p.m., tune in to learn how you can use your bachelor's degree to become a licensed teacher.
