Department Overview

Welcome to the Onslow County Schools Instructional Technology Department! Serving over 27,000 students across 43 schools, we empower education through innovative technology solutions. Since launching our 1:1 Program in 2014, we've provided every student with a personal device each year, fostering personalized learning and digital literacy. Our dedicated team ensures equitable access, robust support, and a secure environment to prepare students for a dynamic, tech-driven future.

 

Our Role

The Instructional Technology Department drives educational excellence by integrating technology into teaching and learning. Our three divisions collaborate to support our community:

  • Digital Learning and Teaching Division: Equips educators with training and resources, including support for our 1:1 Program, to enhance instruction.
  • Student Information Systems Division: Manages secure, reliable data systems to support student success and informed decision-making.
  • Technical Services Division: Maintains infrastructure, provides technical support, and implements cybersecurity measures to keep our schools connected and safe.
