About Operations & Facilities

The Operations & Facilities division provides leadership and guidance to departments, which include Maintenance, Transportation, School Nutrition, Safety & Security and the Print Shop. Our department currently has two full-time employees but a number of architectural firms, engineering firms and/or other consultant's report directly to our Chief Operations Officer on various projects.

The Chief Operating Officer serves as a member of the Executive Staff and provides close input to the Superintendent on matters pertaining to support functions within the school system. In addition, this position works very closely with local governments in addressing land use issues, as well as emergency response and recovery efforts. This position also establishes relationships and works closely with local developers on issues relative to school expansion and development.

Our Operations administration is primarily responsible for long-range capital planning within the school system. We are charged with processing system insurance policies, examining and presenting redistricting options, and completing the annual Capital Outlay Budget.
