Welcome to a More Modern Student Information System
Onslow County Schools has successfully transitioned to Infinite Campus, North Carolina's new statewide student information system. This upgrade brings enhanced security, improved features, and a better experience for families.
Understanding the Transition
2013-2024: PowerSchool Era
For over a decade, North Carolina public schools used PowerSchool as the statewide student information system to manage student records, grades, attendance, and schedules.
November 2023: State Selects Infinite Campus
The North Carolina State Board of Education voted to award a contract to Infinite Campus to modernize the state's student information system, providing a more comprehensive and secure solution for all public schools.
2024-2025 School Year: Phase 1 Migration
Twenty school districts across North Carolina began using Infinite Campus during the first phase of the statewide implementation.
Summer 2025: Onslow County Schools Transitions
As part of Phase 2, Onslow County Schools completed our migration to Infinite Campus over the summer, with all student data successfully transferred from PowerSchool.
2025-2026 School Year: Fully Operational
All North Carolina public schools are now using Infinite Campus, providing a unified, modern system statewide.
Why North Carolina Made the Switch
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction selected Infinite Campus to provide a more modern, comprehensive solution that better supports students, parents, and educators across the state. This decision was driven by state legislation requiring the modernization of school business systems.

What This Means for Your Family
Your Data is Safe
All of your child's historical records from PowerSchool have been securely transferred to Infinite Campus. Nothing was lost in the transition—grades, attendance records, schedules, and transcripts dating back to 2013 are all available in the new system.

Getting Started with Your New Parent Portal
Setting Up Your Account
If you previously had a PowerSchool parent account, you'll need to create a new Infinite Campus parent portal account. Here's how:
- Check your email for an activation link from Infinite Campus with instructions specific to your family. Emails will be delivered each Friday throughout the year to those users who: 1) are marked in Infinite Campus as a Parent/Guardian; 2) have a valid email on file within Infinite Campus; and 3) have not yet created a Parent Portal account. If you do not receive an email, please contact your student's school Data Manager.
- Follow the setup process to create your username and password
- One account for all students: If you have multiple children in Onslow County Schools, one parent account will give you access to all of them
- Download the app: Search for "Campus Parent" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

- View real-time grades and assignment scores
- Monitor daily attendance and receive absence notifications
- Check your child's class schedule and teacher contact information
- Communicate directly with teachers and staff
- Update contact information and emergency contacts
