I grew up in Elm City and Wilson, NC and graduated from Barton College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Mathematics. I have 19 years of teaching experience in grades 6-8 and high school Math 1. I have worked in Wilson, Wake, and Onslow Counties.

I have been married since 2004 and have 3 children. My twin sons are students at SBHS, and my daughter is in middle school at SBMS. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, hunting for shark teeth, and spending time with my family.
