  • Hello Families and Students,

This is a difficult time for all of us, but we are going to get through this together! I miss seeing my kiddos everyday, but together we can make sure that they are growing and learning the best they can while staying safe at home. Every week I will be posting daily lessons within this page. I am always available on Class Dojo, and I will continue to communicate news and updates with you as well.

If your child has completed their work early and you have access to a computer, phone, ipad, etc., please use this time to get them onto their iReady Math ,Reading Lessons and RazKids.

DLI Spanish program enrollment is open. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to be biliterate. Visit the web page for more information.

    Have a wonderful week!

Happy Monday! I miss you a lot!
Remember today Monday, April 27 is pick up packet day, beginning at 8:00 am. There will also be a box for returning completed packets and a box for returning library books.
You can find  lesson plan with Spanish version included and videos in the resources tab. Please remember our Spanish Math books have different page numers than the English ones, so correct Math books pages are in the Spanish version document.
Our topics for this week are:
    Reading: Fables.
    Writing: Personal narrative
    Math: Count money
    Science: Sounds
Ortografia: words with suffixes -cion and -sion
If you have any question, let me know.

Happy Monday! Hope all of you are fine and healthy.
I can't believe we are already in week 4 of our last quarter! This week we are going to study words with suffixes -ido and -ida. You can find a video and a power point presentation about these words in the class resources tab.

We are also going to read fables of Aesop "El zorro y el Cuervo" and "El Cuervo y la Jarra". The whole book was assigned in Raz Kids last week.

We will have virtual pajama day this Friday, April 24. It would be fun for staff and students to be in our pajamas as we learn together ❤️ Send me pictures. Participate if you can.

    Dear second grade parents,

Updated lesson plans for week 3 and 4 are available in the Lesson Plan tab. This includes English and Spanish lesson plans, Spanish daily guides and worksheets. Everything in only one document! I hope this will helpful you. Please check the Ready book page numbers, Spanish books are different than English.

The Dojo portfolio is an easy to use resource where students can send work to the teacher. Students can send pictures of their work, instead of ripping pages and keeping them for the next drop of packages. You can also send drawings and videos as well. Check your Dojo inbox for invite and directions to activate your child’s portfolio. This is an optional resource that I recommend.
