I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1991. In 2006, while working in Hoke County Schools (Raeford, NC) I earned licensure in Academically/ Intellecutally Gifted Education, in 2008 I added Reading K-12 and in 2021 I completed coursework at ECU to earn my Elementary Math certification.  2022-2023 will be my 25th year teaching, and my 16th year at Clyde Erwin Elementary. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and served as a reading specialist. I spent the first 25 years of my life in rural Pennsylvania. In 1995 I relocated to North Carolina. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Diesel.
