Mrs. Chapman

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Erica Chapman and I am honored to be your child’s 4th grade teacher this year. This is my 10th year of teaching and I am looking forward to a fun-filled year.

I am originally from Springfield, Illinois.  My family and I moved to Hampstead, North Carolina a little over 9 years ago. I graduated from Benedictine University at Springfield in 2011. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics, Language Arts, and Social Science. After graduating from college I decided to substitute teach while looking for jobs.  I fell in love with teaching the younger grades!

I am married to my wonderful husband and high school sweetheart, Randy. We have been married for 11 years and have one daughter, Jaiden.  She will be in 12th grade this year. In my free time I love spending time outdoors and at the beach.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the weeks ahead.
