Ms. Emily Tsan

Welcome! I am Ms. Tsan, and I will be teaching 6^th Grade English Language Arts. I attended and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration on Creative Writing. I also completed a Minor in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).

I am passionate about literature and all things writing! I have a love for connecting literature to books, video games, shows, movies, music, and every imaginable media that I can find. My favorite genres for reading are fantasy/sci-fi. However, I will delve into any book that catches my eye! I always seek to improve myself by creating lifelong habits that I complete every day!  You can always find me reading, writing, playing video games, or playing with my cats in my free time. There will be a chance that I am obsessed about something new! I have two cats. Luna and Noctis—who are named after video game characters! And they are my pride and joy. I am thankful to be a part of the staff at HCMS and I look forward to teaching our students this school year! (I'm the one in the pink dress in the photo, my favorite color!)
