Hello!  My name is Mary Sumner and I teach music for OVES.  This is my sixteenth year of teaching but I am new to elemenatary school.  I have spent the last 15 years teaching middle school band in Duplin, Pender, and Onslow counties.  I live in Beulaville, NC with my husband and five year old daughter.  We also have a cat named Callie and a dog named Myrie.  In my free time I enjoy baking, gardening, and crafting.  I am also an active muscian in my community.  I teach private lessons and I flute and sing at my church.  Teaching children to love music is one of my favorite things to do and I am so excited to be working with yours this year.  Feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions about music class.  My email is:  mary.sumner@onslow.k12.nc.us
