Emma Short

My name is Emma Short and I am grateful to be the orchestra director at Trexler Middle School and Richlands High School! I grew up in Carthage, North Carolina. In December of 2020, I graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education and a minor in Special Education. I am thankful for the gift of music and am passionate about sharing this gift with others. 

In my free time, I enjoy visiting my family, doing anything outdoors - gardening, hiking, running, and canoeing, just to name a few - creating art, and reading.
