Hello friends!!! I was born and raised in Jacksonville and I'm a product of Onslow County Schools. I graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1993. It is my privilege to be your teacher this year and an honor for me to be able to give back to my local community.  My journey as an educator began as a teacher’s assistant in Onslow County, while attending UNCW and earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2003. I have always wanted to be a teacher and come from a family of educators. This is my 21st year teaching in Onslow County Schools, and I love it! I have taught at Dixon Elementary for the last 18 years and this will be my third year teaching 3rd grade at Carolina Forest International Elementary. I am excited about continuing my journey as an Eagle. My husband Sam and I were married in November 2021 in Mexico and I gained two bonus children, Addison and Solomon.  I have a son, Jacob, serving in the U.S. Navy. I have two fur babies,a Labrador Mira and a Terrier Tyson. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, relaxing on the beach, visiting the mountains, crafting, watching Hallmark movies, drinking coffee (hot or iced), and going on walks with my dogs. I look forward to our school year together!
