Welcome Bulldogs! I am excited for another fun-filled year in 3rd grade!
I received my Masters in Elementary Education from UNCW and completed my student teaching here at Dixon in 2014. Since then, I have taught 2nd grade and a blended special needs class. We returned to NC last year, and I'm happy to be back at a school that I love! Teaching is my passion and I enjoy forming positive relationships with my students. Watching kiddos learn and grow brings me such joy. I truly believe teaching is the best job in the world!
Global Education has been a focus of my teaching practice and I have presented on a variety of topics for the UNC World View Symposium. My time teaching in San Pedro, Belize is one of my most treasured experiences. I can't wait to teach abroad again some day!
